WaterWaltz

WaterWaltz is a site-specific durational dance installation that takes place on a floating carpet in the middle of a lake. Over the course of an afternoon three dancers are taking turns, performing a solo to the sound of the environment. The audience consists mainly of people passing by, discovering the performance by chance. WaterWaltz's focus is on the fluidity between things - the fluidity of movement sequences, the fluidity between body, dance carpet and water, as well as between people, culture and nature. The work ultimately strives to integrate dance as an art and cultural product into the environment and is designed as an accessible as well as sustainable performance.
